REPORT FROM CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING 11 October 2022

COMBINED SERVICE 10 am, 23 October will include particular recognition of the many forms of leadership and voluntary contributions made to Wesley’s faith community and out- reach.
Following a short morning tea:

AGM Finance Meeting will take place in the church.
After considerable deliberation, Council decide that due to the limitations of equipment and facilitators, the meeting will not be available on Zoom.

Consensus Decision Making

In line with Uniting Church policy, those attending the meeting will receive 3 coloured cards to be raised indicating:

Yellow Orange Blue

I have a question
I agree with the proposal I disagree

Many will have used this approach in other Uniting Church meetings. For others it will in- volve learning as we go.

FETE

Council responded to interest in a Fete in our buildings and grounds sometime in March 2023. If you could assist in leadership or organisation of the whole or part of such a com- munity event, and need to discuss, please speak with a Church Councillor as soon as pos- sible.

by 30 October, please ask a Councillor or Cindy Ong in the Wesley Church Office 02 62 953680, to record your possible availability for organising the Fete or running a stall. Feedback will assist with decision making at the next Council meeting on 8 November.

THANKS

The response to last week’s letter inviting parishioners to review their giving has been en- couraging.
Council decided to write to those using envelopes in 2019, to indicate whether they wish to continue contributing in that way or move to electronic transfer.

Welcome News was completion of new Tennis Court Lighting. Particular thanks to mem- bers of the Club and Chris Chenoweth.
