WESLEY CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING 11 May 2023 Report to Congregation

Wesley Carpark: Repairing two areas of subsidence and a number of potholes will proceed in the near future. Thanks to the Property Committee for progressing this.

Elders

This year, Elders meetings have been primarily given over to the provision of training/for- mation to Elders to assist them in the Pastoral Care role. This has been greatly assisted by Rev Karyn Burchell-Thomas’s considerable skills and experience. This month, Elders used an approach to studying scripture to improve listening skills.

There has been a limited response to the call for new elders. If aware of a Wesley member who might be called to this role, please speak with one of the Ministers or the Facilitator of Elders Tarlie Alcock. Please continue to give this prayerful consideration.

Wesley Audio Visual Project: The deposit has been paid to Ministry of Tech for work to proceed The Special Appeal for funding this project currently stands at $34,000, with a target of $75,000. A reminder that further details appear in weekly Notices and donations are received with gratitude.

Does your calendar note Combined Service at 10.00 am on Sunday 18 June?
