Graeme Brown - Director of Music at Wesley Graeme Brown was appointed Director of Music at Wesley on June 1st, 2008. He has held similar positions in Lindfield (St David’s UC), Rockhampton (St Paul’s Anglican Cathedral), Armidale (UC) and Indooroopilly, Brisbane (St Andrew’s Anglican). He was the inaugural Convener of the NSW Synod Church Music Committee (1978 – 81). A semi-retired science teacher, he holds the Associate Diploma of Church Music from the NSW Conservatorium of Music where his organ teacher was Robert Ampt, and conducting teacher, Norman Johnstone. Garth Mansfield - Director of the Wesley Music Centre Garth has been Director of the Wesley Music Centre since it began in 2002 and was Director of Music at Wesley from 1978 to 2008. He has been closely involved in the Wesley Scholarship Program since its inception in 1994, the rebuilding of Wesley Organ 2001-02, the ACT Organ School from 2003, the Wesley Music Foundation from 1999, the building of the Wesley Music Centre and national seminars on word and music in worship at Wesley in 2005, 2006 and 2009. He was formerly organist at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Forrest, ACT from 1957 to 1978 and was choir conductor there from 1968 to 1978. He held similar positions in Sydney and regional NSW from 1950. He was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in 1994 for services to church music. Garth studied organ privately with George Faunce Allman at the Sydney Conservatorium and St. James, King Street Sydney from the age of 11. He attended Westminster Choir College, Princeton, USA in June-July 1983 with choral singing and church music as a particular focus. |

Lorraine Macknight - organist Lorraine Macknight has been a church organist for various congregations - Presbyterian, Lutheran, Anglican and the Uniting Church - including Wesley. She initially studied organ with the late John Barrett and later with Donald Hollier at the Canberra School of Music and is currently working towards a doctorate in hymnology. |

Bronwyn Brown – organist Although she was born in this region in Temora, Bronwyn has recently relocated to Canberra from Brisbane. For ten years there, she was the rehearsal and performance accompanist for the Brisbane Concert Choir. Her musical studies in her home town of Sydney were with Annette Erskine-Farkas (piano) and Robert Goode (pipe organ). She has had extensive experience accompanying vocalists and instrumentalists for recitals, examinations and eisteddfodau. She has been a church organist for many years, at present playing here at Wesley. Her experience also extends to accompanying choirs and musical societies in a wide range of repertoire ranging from musical theatre to opera. Bronwyn holds a B.Sc from the University of Sydney, a Teachers’ Certificate and an AMusA in piano.
