Wesley and St Aidan's have a tradition of excellent preaching. Sermons are available from our download page. There is usually a team of two full-time Ministers settled in the Parish. We also have a wonderful group of Lay Preachers and worship leaders who bring energy and creativity to our services. Our Children and Family worker position is currently vacant.

Rev. Janis Huggett, American-born (with an accent that still proves that), Janis came to Australia in 1985 and was received as a Minister of the Word in the Uniting Church in 1988. In 1992 she also became an Australian citizen. She has served parishes in California, the Newcastle region and Sydney, as well as teaching Liturgical Studies and New Testament at St. John’s College (Anglican) and United Theological College. Recently retired from full-time ministry as Chaplain of Mirinjani Village UnitingCare Ageing, she was our part time Supply Minister earlier this year, and now, as a member of our congregation (and choir!) is a welcome participant on our preaching roster from time to time. She loves music, cats and chocolate (not necessarily in that order). |
