The Tennis Club plays social tennis on the courts in the church grounds on Saturday afternoons at 2pm (4pm from January to March) and Wednesday evenings at 7.00pm.
The matches are usually mixed doubles and our members cover all skill standards from beginners to potential Wimbledon champions!
Afternoon tea (or supper) is a key part of the afternoon (or evening)! Membership fees are $80 pa for adults and $40 pa for children, students and pensioners, and $80 for families. Playing fees for members are $5 for adults and $2.50 for children, students and pensioners, with non members paying double these amounts.
Newcomers get the first time free of charge, and three additional weeks at members' rates before having to decide whether to join. The club is currently paying off a loan after resurfacing the second court, so any donations would be welcome!
The Club also enjoys several social events during the year such as summer barbecues beside the courts, "bring a plate" dinners in members' homes and dinners out at restaurants.
